Ten Minute Travel presents the Traveller and the Tourist with exciting and engaging information, in bite-size offerings. Each of our content elements can be enjoyed in just ten minutes or fewer.

Passion-driven Expertise

Ten Minute Travel offers both Travel Journalism and Travel Writing. Our areas of passion-driven expertise will shine in the domains of Art, Music and Food. We are genre agnostic. We cover medieval mosaics as readily as we do the avant-garde and everything in between. Street food and fine dinning are investigated with like respect. Michael Angelo or Banksy?

Yes to both!

Tourist or Traveller?

There is a difference between a Tourist and a Traveller. Both options are entirely legitimate.

The Tourist will travel, perhaps, once or twice a year at most. The Tourist aims at wallowing in a relaxed and well-deserved sojourn in a new environment. Their perambulations will include the highest level of comfort affordable. Culinary exploration will be dominated by what is as familiar as possible. On a whim they may engage in a brief forage into local fare, in a daring but short-lived, quest for the exotic.

Occasionally, the Tourist will escape the all-inclusive overindulgence and join an excursion. The exposure to local culture and perceived oddities will be enjoyed with delight, in a safe and controlled environment. Memories are made. They will return to their everyday existence relaxed and refreshed. Job done!

Tourism is not a lesser form of travel. It meets a real need. It is fun. It provides an escape from the storms and stresses of everyday life.

The Traveller

Travellers are driven by discovery and self-discovery. The unlocking of other cultures and countries unlocks crevices and conflicts within themselves.

Comfort and luxury are not priorities for the Traveller. Travellers are laser-locked on experience and encounter. Often this journey will demand risk. The Traveller will focus on people. The Traveller seeks out experience in its rawest and most unvarnished state. The Traveller’s search engine is hard-wired to explore “How do people live” and “How does this affect the way I live?”
Ten Minute Travel will seek to entertain, inform and educate, both the Tourist and the Traveller.
